Instructions for Authors

1. Focus and Scope

Lan Tabur: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah welcomes scholarly articles that discuss both conceptual and empirical studies in the field of Islamic economics and finance. The journal’s scope includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Islamic Economics and Sharia Economics

  • Islamic Banking and Finance

  • Sharia Business Management

  • Islamic Accounting

  • Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf (ZISWAF)

  • Islamic Microfinance and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)

  • Fintech and Islamic Financial Innovation

  • Public Policy and Regulation in Islamic Economics

  • Islamic Business Ethics and Sharia Governance

Submitted articles must demonstrate clear scholarly contributions and relevance to the development of both theory and practice in Islamic economics.

2. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Research Articles

  • Conceptual or Theoretical Review Articles

  • Case Study Articles Based on Scientific Analysis

  • Systematic Review or Literature Review Articles, on a selective basis

3. Originality and Publication Ethics

Submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under review by other journals.

Authors are required to adhere to publication ethics, including avoiding plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate publication.

The maximum similarity index is 20 percent, excluding the reference list.

4. Language

Manuscripts may be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English using proper academic language.

Foreign terms must be used consistently and in accordance with academic conventions.

5. Manuscript Structure

Research articles must be organized according to the following structure:

Title
Concise, clear, and reflective of the article content
Maximum 15 words in Bahasa Indonesia or 12 words in English

Author(s) and Affiliation
Author names without academic titles
Institutional affiliation, city, and country
Corresponding author email address

Abstract
Written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
150 to 250 words in length
Must include background, objective, methodology, main findings, and conclusion

Keywords
Three to five keywords, separated by semicolons

Introduction
Background of the study
Research urgency and novelty
Research objectives

Literature Review
Relevant theoretical framework and previous studies
Development of conceptual framework or hypotheses, if applicable

Methodology
Type and research approach
Research subjects or objects
Data collection and analysis techniques

Results and Discussion
Systematic presentation of research findings
Analysis and interpretation of results
Linkage to theory and previous research

Conclusion
Summary of main findings
Theoretical and practical implications
Recommendations for future research

6. Formatting Guidelines

Manuscript length: 5,000 to 7,500 words
Paper size: A4 with standard margins
Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
Line spacing: 1.5
Text alignment: Justified
Tables and figures must include titles and sources

7. Citation and References

The citation style follows APA Style, 7th Edition.

References should primarily be derived from primary sources and publications from the last 5 to 10 years.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
