LAN TABUR: Sharia Economics Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes high-quality, original research articles in the field of Islamic Economics and Finance. The journal aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and understanding of Islamic economic principles, practices, and their application in various sectors. We welcome contributions from scholars, researchers, and practitioners engaged in the exploration and development of Islamic economics, finance, and related fields.
The journal focuses on Islamic economic theory, exploring Islamic economic principles and their foundations, such as the concepts of justice, equity, and welfare in economic systems. It also covers Islamic finance, including studies on Islamic financial instruments, Islamic banking, sukuk, takaful, and other Islamic financial products, with an emphasis on the analysis of financial markets and institutions from an Islamic perspective.
Research related to Shariah governance and compliance is an integral part of the journal’s scope, particularly studies on the principles of Shariah compliance in business, finance, and economics. This includes governance models, regulatory frameworks, and risk management in Islamic financial institutions. Furthermore, the journal explores the role of Islamic economics in promoting sustainable development, poverty alleviation, and social welfare programs, with particular focus on mechanisms such as Zakat, Waqf, and other Islamic social finance instruments.
The journal also welcomes research on Islamic microfinance and entrepreneurship, with a focus on microfinance models, entrepreneurial initiatives, and small business development based on Islamic economic principles. Islamic political economy is another area of interest, including studies on the interaction between Islamic values and public policy, discussing Islamic perspectives on government regulation, taxation, and fiscal policy.
Research on the halal industry, including halal certification, halal supply chains, and market opportunities in the global halal economy, is also within the scope of the journal. Additionally, the journal addresses the impact of globalization on Islamic economic systems, international cooperation, and the role of Islamic economics in the global economy.
The scope of the journal includes empirical and theoretical research on Islamic economics and finance, case studies, applied research, interdisciplinary studies combining Islamic economics with fields such as law, sociology, and political science, as well as comparative studies of Islamic and conventional economic systems. Policy-oriented research and practical recommendations for the implementation of Islamic economic principles in real-world scenarios are also encouraged. The journal welcomes critical reviews of literature and meta-analyses in Islamic economics and finance.
The journal seeks articles that contribute to the theoretical, empirical, and practical aspects of Islamic economics, providing insights for scholars, policymakers, financial professionals, and practitioners in the field.
